HIGH POINT SCORE- OFF

CHEER COMPETITION SEASON JUST GOT 3X BETTER!

Teams that compete at UCCC- Battle of the Bow, UTEP Cheerleading Championships, and Sun City Showdown will become eligible to be recognized in our West T3Xas score-off. Teams that meet the eligibility requirements will have their three competition scores averaged out. The top three teams in each category (Recreational, School, Gameday, All-Star) will then be able to choose their “best” routine to be scored virtually by a qualified panel of Varsity judges who will review skills, deductions, drivers, max points and other critical scoring components. From there, the top three teams in each category (Recreational, School, Gameday, & All- Star) will be invited to the West T3Xas Awards Ceremony to be recognized and West T3Xas High Point Champions in each category be announced.

Awards:

  • 3rd place- West T3Xas Finalist Banner
  • 2nd place- West T3Xas Finalist Banner
  • 1st place- West T3Xas High Point Champion Banner, Champion patches, and an Exclusive Bomber Jacket for registered team athletes & 2 coaches
  • (These awards will be given for each category- Rec., School, Gameday, and All-Star: 15 Finalists total/ 4 West T3Xas High Point Winners)

How to become eligible:

  • Must compete in- person at all three competitions (UCCC-Battle of the Bow, UTEP Cheerleading Competition, and Sun City Showdown).
  • Must compete in the same division at each competition.
  • Exhibition teams are NOT eligible due to scoring and skill restrictions that differ from performance routines.

The process:

  • Register for all three competitions.
  • Your scores from each competition will be averaged.
  • Top three teams in each category (Rec,  School, Gameday, All- Star) will be notified of their finalist placement up to a week after the last competition of the season, Sun City Showdown, and sent the official invite for the West T3Xas Awards Ceremony.
  • Coaches will be able to choose which video from the three competitions they would like submitted for virtual scoring by a panel of Varsity qualified judges. Each competition is responsible for recording the routines of each team competing. It is not your responsibility to record your routines at each competition. Routine videos will be uploaded to a file and sent to coaches for the selection process.
  • Lastly, teams will attend the Awards Ceremony where the finalists will be recongnized and High Point Winners will be announced
